Set up Plex.

What you get
Movies and TV from Moonrock, on every screen you own. Free Plex account, install the app, watch. One Plex login covers the rest of Moonrock too, so you only have one to remember.

Sign up & get added.

Plex is free. Moonrock is invite only. Elisha shares the server with the email on your Plex account.

  1. 01Sign up at plex.tv. Email, Google, or Apple, your pick.
  2. 02Skip the Plex Pass upsell. You don't need it for Moonrock.
  3. 03Text Elisha the email on your account. Usually shared within an hour or two (depending on whether she's asleep).

Same email everywhere. The email you use here becomes your sign-in for Read and Request too. One identity across Moonrock.
02Step two · pick your device

Install the app.

Plex runs on almost anything with a screen. Pick where you'll watch most:

iPhone & iPad

AirPlay, downloads, easy subtitles. The default for most people.

  1. 01Install Plex from the App Store (blue icon).
  2. 02Open the app and sign in.
  3. 03Pick Moonrock from the server list. Tap a title.

03Step three · forever

Start watching.

Open Plex. Pick Moonrock from the server list. Click in. You're home.

Set quality to Original. Settings → Quality → Original for both Home and Remote. Moonrock can handle it. Your internet is usually the slow part, not the server.

Missing something? Hit Request. Most arrive within a day. The Discord pings you when it lands.
04If things go sideways

Trouble shooting.

I don't see Moonrock in the server list.+
You haven't been added yet, or you signed into Plex with a different email than the one Elisha has. Check your email in Plex settings → Account and send that one over.
Video buffers or stutters.+
Usually your connection. In the player, tap the gear icon and drop quality one notch (Original → 10 Mbps). On a TV app over WiFi, an ethernet adapter fixes 90% of buffering.
Audio with no video, or vice versa.+
Your device can't play this exact file. Drop quality one notch in the player. The server converts it on the fly. Works every time.
Can't log in on Roku or Fire TV.+
Use the pairing code. Open Plex on the TV, copy the 4-letter code, then on your phone open plex.tv/link and enter it. Skip typing the password with the remote.
Wrong posters or missing episodes.+
Pull down on the library to refresh. If it's still wrong, text Elisha the show or movie name. The server grabbed the wrong info, and she can fix it in 30 seconds.
Will it work while traveling?+
Yes. Plex works anywhere with internet. For planes, tap the download icon on a title beforehand to watch offline.

The pairing code

For Roku, Fire TV, and Smart TVs. Open Plex on the TV, then enter the code at plex.tv/link on your phone.

Watch quality

Settings → Quality → Original for Home and Remote. The bottleneck is your internet, not the server.
